Melatonin. I’ve suffered from insomnia for, errmm, over a decade now (dear lord!), and I still can’t get a full 8, but at least on melatonin, I can, sometimes (HAPPILY), get 5. =)
When insomnia isn’t being such a pain in the ass, I get 14-15. A few days of being wide awake and then a good ‘ol hibernation the next!
